Wildflower + Bee Walk

FreeJoin the Deschutes Land Trust, Carol Moorehead, and Michele Sims for a wildflower and bee walk along Spring Creek near the Metolius River. This beautiful, privately-owned and conserved property includes wetland habitat and pine and aspen groves. Search for late spring wildflowers as you explore the buzzing world of bees! Learn what bees do all day (and night!), how they are connected to native plants, and what you can do to make bees at home in your yard or garden. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.
Hike Rating: This is a moderate ~2 mile hike. Portions will be on established trails and through grassy meadows.
Route: This hike will start at the Camp Sherman store and follow the Metolius River trail. Once on the Spring Creek property, trails are through grassy meadows. Terrain will be uneven at times.
Elevation gain/loss: There is very little elevation gain/loss on this hike.
