Sip & Paint

On Wednesday, September 30, Karen is bringing her first-ever paint-with-wine workshop to Cuvée. She’ll walk you step by step through a mountain scene with pines and an elk, painted entirely in red wine. It dries in shades from blush pink to deep plum. You don’t need to know how to paint (or anything about wine, either). Karen handles the technique and we handle the beverages and bites.

Karen Eland has spent nearly three decades painting with things you’d normally drink. She started with espresso at a Tulsa coffeehouse in 1998 and added beer after moving to Bend. Since then she’s painted commissions for Deschutes Brewery and turned the Mona Lisa into the “Mona Latte,” which got her into The Telegraph and the Daily Mail. And now she’s branching out with wine!

What’s included:
A two-hour guided workshop with Karen, all supplies (including the wine you paint with), a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic pour (to drink), shared charcuterie with meats, cheeses, crackers, nuts, and preserves, and your finished painting to take home.
