Guided Stargazing on the Ranch

$15 – $25A special night of stargazing as we celebrate welcome the coming of autumn. After the hustle of the summer, October is the perfect time to pause, look up, and reset for the autumn season. Come early to enjoy Lazy Z’s ranch wines and live music!
This evening will be led by local naturalist and educator Liz Thaete, who is one of the Lead Guides at Starshine and Lazy Z Ranch resident. You’ll take in the brilliance of Central Oregon’s night sky while locating constellations and listening to an ancient story about the stars. You are invited to stay after the one hour night sky tour to view deep sky objects through a telescope.
6:00 PM – Listen to music from local band, Haystack Jack
6:30 PM – Watch the sunset & meet your guide, Liz, in the tasting room
7:00 PM – Check-in with Liz in the tasting room + find your spot on the lawn
7:30-8:30 PM – Guided stargazing experience under the high desert sky
8:30-9:00PM – Get a glimpse of the deep sky through a telescopeSip your favorite Ranch beverage, enjoy a small bite, and marvel at the vastness above Lazy Z Ranch! A quiet, awe-filled night rooted in land, season, and sky. We’d love to share it with you.
