Fall Colors Hike
October 11, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
FreeJoin the Deschutes Land Trust and Coleen Pidgeon for an early fall color hike at the Metolius Preserve. Hike around the northern portion of the Preserve to learn about this unique forest that combines plants and trees from the west side of the Cascades along with the drier eastern Cascade vegetation. Enjoy the reds and oranges of vine maple and brilliant yellow of larch trees (fingers crossed they’ve started to change colors!), all while we watch and listen for fall birds in the forest and along Lake Creek. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.
