DESCRIPTION:Guided Stargazing in the Garden \nJoin Rainshadow Organics in the Market Garden for a special night of moon and star gazing. \nThis evening will be led by local naturalist and educator Jennie Sharp\, founder and director of Starshine. You’ll take in the brilliance of Central Oregon’s night sky while gazing at our closest celestial neighbor\, our Moon\, as she rises above us. You’ll hear an ancient story with the Moon as a main character\, and learn why our Moon is so critical to life on our planet. \nStarshine will provide:• Skymaps for guests to take home• Red lights and binoculars to borrow \nWhat to bring:• A blanket or low chair for lounging on the lawn• Weather-appropriate layers for a cool desert night \nOptional\, but encouraged\n• If you have your own binoculars you are welcome to bring them• Headlamp with red light setting – this can help you to navigate the garden and view your star map\n• A sky viewing app on your phone\, recommended is SkyView Lite–its free! \nEvening Details5:30 PM – Bar opens + small plates available for purchase 7:00 PM – Check-in + find your spot on the lawn7:30-8:3o PM – Guided stargazing experience under the high desert sky \nSip wine\, beer\, or a non-alcoholic spritz\, enjoy a bite from the kitchen\, and marvel at the vastness above our fields. \nTickets: $25 per person($20 event + $5 non-refundable booking fee)Weather dependent: in case of cancellation\, we’ll refund $20 to each guest. \nA quiet\, awe-filled night rooted in land\, season\, and sky.
