DESCRIPTION:Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Melinda Walker for a wildflower hike to explore the diverse forests of the Metolius Preserve. From ponderosa pine forest to lush creekside corridors\, the Metolius area boasts a unique combination of wetter plants from the west side of the Cascades along with the drier eastern Cascade vegetation. We’ll explore this fascinating transition zone while searching for wildflowers like lilies\, wild rose\, and columbine. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event. \nHike Rating: This is an easy 3 mile hike on Preserve trails. \nRoute: This hike will start at the North Trailhead of the Metolius Preserve and follow Preserve trails.
