SUMMARY:Hoodoo Winter Carnival
DESCRIPTION:The premiere event of the season and a day full of free activities. Winter Carnival has been a tradition at Hoodoo for 40+ years and includes a number of free events (no lift ticket required): ax throwing booth\, frisbee golf\, musical chairs\, a three-legged obstacle race\, a team tube race\, a hula-hoop contest\, a fly-athalon\, a pie eating contest\, a ski javelin throw\, an archery contest\, a Hoodoo employee snow sculpture contest and bingo. The lifts are open 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. There’s always a special dinner menu\, the Dummy Downhill contest\, the annual torchlight descent and professional fireworks on the mountain.

SUMMARY:Hoodoo Challenge: Run to the Top
DESCRIPTION:The Hoodoo Challenge half marathon is back for its 9th year! The course follows scenic forested trails with amazing views from the top of Potato Hill. Runners will then walk back down the mountain for a hosted lunch and awards ceremony at the Hoodoo Lodge parking area. \nA 5K race will begin at the Hoodoo parking lot and end at the top of Hoodoo. This trail also offers scenic views and is a great option for runners and walkers that don’t want to take on the half marathon course. \nAll participants will receive a 2-for-1 lift ticket voucher for Hoodoo with their entry. Dri-fit race t-shirts and trucker-style logo’ed race hats are available for purchase at checkout for an additional $30 (be sure to specify size for t-shirts). Additionally\, the top male and female finishers for both the half marathon and 5K will win a season pass to Hoodoo. Price for the 1/2 marathon is $65 ($80 for late registration after 6/28) and $45 for the 5K. Junior runners (under 18 years old) can participate in either race for $25. These races are being put on by the Sisters Kiwanis Club and all proceeds go to charity.
