DESCRIPTION:THE SHORT COURSE is approximately 1.2 miles\, is from the Lakeside Activity Center to the Big Meadow Clubhouse\, and returns the same way. This route is primarily intended for kids 12 years and younger and walkers. \nTHE LONG COURSE is from the Lakeside Activity Center\, to the Clubhouse\, across the meadow\, back on the bike path toward the General Store\, staying on the bike path\, and returning to the Lakeside. This route is about 3.5 miles. \nThe event is not timed. Friendly\, leashed dogs are welcome. Art at the Ranch is a fundraiser put on by the Black Butte Art Guild to provide scholarships for art students at Sisters High School\, and to celebrate the arts community in the process. \nThe festivities include: \n\nAn opportunity to observe Plein Air artists create landscapes before your eyes out on the Lodge lawn and then cast your vote for your favorite piece (and perhaps purchase one of the pieces)\nSeveral artists displaying and discussing their works\, with an opportunity to purchase\nA silent auction of items donated by Black Butte residents and many generous merchants from the community of Sisters\nAn informative and interactive display hosted by Firewise\, a nonprofit dedicated to education and risk reduction of wildfires
