DESCRIPTION:Join Starshine to marvel at our incredible universe in the gorgeous setting of Black Butte Ranch\, in Sisters\, Oregon! You’ll take in the brilliance of Central Oregon’s vast night sky while locating constellations\, observing visible planets\, the moon\, and other celestial objects\, and listening to ancient stories about the stars.Tours begin about 30 minutes after sunset. Stay after the one-hour night sky tour to get a glimpse into the deep sky through a telescope. Each group receives a sky map\, specialized to the month of viewing and binoculars to borrow. \nTour Details\nTours are approximately one hour long and will begin once all payments are processed and waivers are collected. Your guide will stay after the formal presentation to answer any questions and facilitate using the deep-sky telescope. DESCRIPTION:For the 10th season\, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops\, old-growth forests\, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild. \nIt has been more than 50 years since Brooks Resources developed Black Butte Ranch with its 1\,800 acres of pristine wilderness in the Cascade Range. In June\, we return to celebrate our 10th IN A LANDSCAPE season with a 3-night mini-series at the Ranch\, ancestral homeland of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. \nThe opening concert on the 16th is particularly meaningful as the families of the first three presidents of Brooks Resources have gathered to sponsor the concert and celebrate community\, music\, and Central Oregon’s natural wonders.
